About Us

Montana's Voice. Independent. Fearless.

Welcome to The Montana Daily — your independent voice for Montana news, analysis, and unfiltered commentary. At The Montana Daily, we believe Montanans deserve straight talk about the issues that matter most in our state. No corporate spin. No coastal bias. Just honest, common-sense reporting and commentary grounded in the values that define Big Sky Country: hard work, personal responsibility, individual liberty, and a deep respect for our land and communities. We cut through the noise of national media echo chambers to deliver stories that actually impact Montana families, businesses, farmers, ranchers, and everyday citizens. From Bozeman’s rapid growth and Billings’ economic challenges to Missoula’s policy debates and rural issues in eastern Montana, we cover it all with clarity, context, and without apology. Our mission is simple: Tell the truth. Use common sense.  Don't try and convince readers that what they see and feel each day isn't reality.  Challenge the status quo when it’s wrong. Celebrate what makes Montana exceptional. Love the United States and promote the state and the country each and every day.And always approach the news with a practical, common-sense lens that puts Montanans first. Unfiltered. Unplugged. Unbiased.

Our Mission

The Montana Daily was founded in 2021 in Bozeman, Montana, by Montanans who believe our state — and our country — deserve better than the polarized, out-of-touch media that dominates today.

We love America. We love Montana. And we believe the best way to serve both is by delivering straightforward, common-sense journalism that respects the intelligence and daily experiences of the people who live here.

We don't claim to be smarter than our readers. We don't lecture you about what you should think or feel. Instead, we cut through the spin, the slogans, and the noise to bring you honest reporting, thoughtful analysis, and unfiltered commentary grounded in reality, tradition, and practical wisdom.

Our promise is simple: Tell the truth about what's happening in Montana and America. Stand up for the values that built this country — hard work, personal responsibility, individual liberty, and love of the land. And always put Montana families, communities, and common sense first.
